awesomeprussian ⇨ the backstory ⇨ childhood:Born in Israel during his parent's business trip, Gilbert is one of the sons of super religious Oda and Burkhard Beilschmidt. The woman died on an incident with his smallest son. Burkhard tried to see another woman without marrying her, because the memory of his first wife was haunting him emotionally, but with her didn't last longer; she died for complications while she gave birth to his son Ludwig. After that, Burkhard close his heart forever. His father was a famous trainer, so he was often out of town. That is why all his brother were raised by various relatives. Gilbert tutor was his grandfather named Hermann, born and raised in the East Germany. Hermann was a priest, a grave and nostalgic one, he often mistreated his grandson with heavy punishments or practices like: pray for 5 hours, clean the entire place, write every evening before bed, waking up at 4 am etc. These kinda of behaviors are still present in these very days. In his free time, Gilbert usually played with the neighbor's kids, but as result of his environment, he treated them bad, he was often a bully and he wasn't afraid to pull some fights just for the fun of it. In this period he met some people like Roderich, Elizabeta, Toris, Feliks and Ivan. He is not in a good relationships of them beacuse of this period. Gilbert had a catholic friend who were very talented but lost connection to him time to time. Since his brothers and him grew up separately, he wasn't attached to them if it's not for some exceptions like Ludwig.
awesomeprussian ⇨ the backstory ⇨ adolescence:One day, he discovered that his father was arrested: apparently he caused the death of an italian man accidentally while he was working.
This man was Augusto Vargas, he was an old friend but with time their relationship turned sour. He admired him, especially his grandsons.
His grandpa sent him to a private religious institute. Gilbert begun to dislike Catholicism, especially for Hermann and the school. He took interesting to Luther's theory and approach. After his grandfather died, he went to a Gymnasium. Gilbert was an excellent student but his awful behavior and personality were an obstacle to his almost perfect scores. He was rather wild, he often fought with people or caused troubles around. But at the same time he was trying to take care for his brother Ludwig. He also became for a period a personal trainer for Alfred F. Jones. In those years, he met someone special to him: Friedrich. This old man was a music teacher, he taught him how to play flute and became one of his tutor and best friend. For him he was like a second father.
During the high school years, he also bonded with Francis and Antonio, they were his trouble buddies and right now his closest friends. He also hanged out with Feliciano and Lovino again, Gilbert adore them and he's very found. He knew them for his father, after what happened everyone though that their relationship was ruined but seem nothing changed.
awesomeprussian ⇨ the backstory ⇨ adulthood:Thanks to Friedrich, Gilbert decided to study music in an Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler. During this period was separated from his little brother, he moved to a condominium, where predominantly east population lived there for example his childhood acquaintance Ivan. Those years were rough for him, he was financially broke and his Russian neighbor wasn't making his life easier. He worked after Friedrich as flute teacher for younger kids as part-time job, since the man was too old to continue, so he left the job to Gilbert. One night, his tutor, by now he was 74 years old, asked his protegé to play something for him before going to sleep. The German did and when he finished he discovered that his Old Fritz was passed peacefully away. After finished the school, he did the military service for 8 months, since it's a tradition of family. He worked for some time as mechanic for industrial machines, than he stopped for his health's problems.
After Ludwig's dog bit his hand, his wound wasn't healing properly, so he discovered he's affected by an uncommon illness called Werlhof's disease or Immune thrombocytopenic purpura. Sometimes he finds strange bruises and wounds around his skin. That is why his scars are so evident, and he's so easy to be hurt, aside for his semi-albinism. This disease caused him to retire so soon.

awesomeprussian ⇨ relationships:✚ Oda Beilschmidt: He barely remembers her, she died when he was 5 years old. Gilbert usually doesn't like to remember her because it's too painful. Oda was a german woman born in Bradenburg, lived in Sassonia before met his husband. She had polish,lithuanian and french origins.✚ Burkhard Beilschmidt: His father, he did loved his children very much, even though was often out city for work. Gilbert admired him✚ Hermann Beilschmidt: His granfather, he didn't like him very much but he knew Hermann was well respected for his faith. Even if Gilbert changed religion, he took some habits from his grandpa. Actually he has so many things in common with Gilbert and Burkhard: when he was a little kid was very wild and fought with eveyrone around him.✚ Olga: The mother of Ludwig, he actually never met her if it's not after his death. He really wanted to met her but at the same time no, because he didn't want to see her replace his real mother.✚ Brothers & cousins: He has 7 brothers and many cousins. Gilbert give up how many are they. Apparently all of them are guys. He is close just with few of them.

Gilbert took care of him since he was born, he really loves his little brother, even though is Ludwig now in charge.✚ Roderich Edelstein & Elizabeta Hédérvary: They are his childhood friends, and acutally he had a little crush for both of them at some point. Elizabeta was her rival while Roderich was his target for bully him. They are now married and sometimes he feels kinda left out and goes often at their house to annoy them✚ Francis Bonnefoy & Antonio F. Carriedo: His best friends and often hang out with them every weekend. Sometimes he kinda feels left out since Antonio and Francis know each other longer than Gilbert.✚ Feliciano Vargas & Lovino Vargas: He really adores them, especially Feliciano. Gilbert loves Italy, he likes the weather, the place, the art etc. in particulary Venice. Gilbert is kinda over-protective with Feliciano, he usually worries alot for him. He has an huge crush on him, one time he even asked him on a date. He feels the same to Lovino but more Feli. The Vargas brother don't seem to like this side of him so much.

When he went to live in that eastern condominium which was under Ivan's property, Ivan didn't make him his life easier.✚ Toris Laurinaitis and Feliks Łukasiewicz: Toris and Feliks hates him so bad, Gilbert bullied them when he was little, and continued to do it in high school too. Toris admitted that he hates him and doesn't like to be honest with him while Feliks every time sees him, he sticks his tongue out✚ Alfred F. Jones: When he was in high school he was his trainer and tutor for some period. Alfred thought he was cool and probably a chilled person but that was wrong. Gilbert was harsh and strict to him✚ Honda Kiku: One of his dearest friend, Gilbert helped him trough his hikkikomori phase and to stop suppress his emotion. He often goes to his house to drink tea and eat manju. He even taught him about Christmas and some german words.✚ Rajeesh Patel: His twitter buddy, he danced with him in an Halloween party.
